I really like the Archives map; it is tiny and great for shotguns. The games are usually pretty intense especially if you play golden gun mode. The rooms are small, and I think using a shotgun is the best weapon for this map since you will be up close to your enemies the whole game.
When I have the golden gun on this map I like to run around as opposed to staying in one area and camping it, because you can be easily overwhelmed by all the players that will enter the room you are in as they try and get the golden gun for themselves. As you can see from the video most times there is a pig pile on top of the golden gun, if you stay back you can sometimes get a bunch of easy kills, but you have to be careful and watch your back a lot. I died many times from being shot in the back.
I can’t believe how terrible I am with grenade tossing. I know grenades aren’t as powerful in GoldenEye as they are in other first person shooters, but tossing a grenade is second nature to me. My general strategy is to shoot at the guy and if I miss I back off and throw a grenade around the corner then I will reload if I kill him or check and see how much ammo I have and either go in or reload right after I throw it.
I end the match in third place with eight eliminations, two golden gun kills, and eight deaths. So overall I am two over par. I think it was a pretty good game, although I didn’t come out on top it was fun.
Favorite Kills:
00:45 – 01:08 – I kill two guys as they are fighting over the golden gun. I then pick it up and run away from the crowd. I run into one guy and side-step his shotgun and deliver a bullet to the chest. Then I get one more kill with the golden gun. A quick four kill streak.
01:35 – 01:45 – I time it perfectly and get the guy before he gets out of sight.
